First let me explain what the Chat and IM modules are.

Chat – This is a Flash based chat room application where you can talk to anyone that has entered the chat room. The best thing about this is that we have taken it a step further past your ordinary chat room by integrating webcam support. This means that when you go into the chat room, you will be able to see other people, hear other people and if you want, start a one on one conversation with your webcam. It’s really a cool feature. Chat has changed now and it’s just like doing a video conference with everyone in the chat room.

IM – Our Instant Messenger is another Flash based application that we created to allow one on one video conversations. If you are on your dating site and you see someone online, then you can send them a IM Request right off their profile. Once you send the request they are notified by a pop-up alert where they can Accept it or Reject it. If they accept it, a new IM window will open and you two will now be able to see and talk to each other via your webcams. This is truly a Live Video Instant Messenger session.

How does this work you ask? Wazzum uses a server technology called Flash Media Server (FMS) by Adobe. This allows us to create and stream live video between you and the person you are chatting with.  So, we use the FMS as our base server then we created the flash based applications that communication with our FMS server. Those are the Chat and IM apps that I spoke about earlier. These applications are installed into your dating software so when you purchase the Wazzum Premium Dating Software, you get the flash IM and Chat apps free. Whats even better is that you do NOT see the Wazzum logo on it. They are integrated into your site with your logo and URL on them. They are branded under your site.

Why did we do it this way? There are other dating software providers out there that don’t offer Live Video Chat and Live Video Instant Messenger. The ones that do are not branded and your members will see the providers logo and URL. That’s just not cool to us. You bought it so you should have it with your logo and your URL in it. Also, the ones that don’t offer live video chat or IM just don’t have a solution for you. Sure you can go purchase a solution at UserPlane.com and pay $50 dollars a month for 10 concurrent connections which means only 10 people can use it at one time but why pay monthly for it? At Wazzum, you get it free with the Premium Dating Software and you don’t have to pay monthly for it.

While we are just starting the new year 2010 off, what better way to start it off than getting more features into version 3.0. Thank you all for the suggestions and there are some really good ones too. We have received 53 feature requests and I can safely say that version 3.0 will have at least 40 of them. So, thank you again for the suggestions and while we are still developing version 3.0, keep those feature requests coming. We want to make version 3.0 the best Wazzum dating software ever.

Some of the things we are adding into the version 3.0 dating software will be Forums and Groups. We will also be adding 20 new template designs to the dating software package so you’re choices will many. If you have ideas for dating software templates, do let me know. We can try to get those designs into version 3.0. If you see a site that you would like to try to mimic, send us the URL and we’ll see if we can come close to it. While you don’t want the same design you might want the same layout and color scheme. So, get those to us as well.

Wazzum is hard at work on our next version of our dating software 3.0. It will be a full feature release with tons of features and some really cool bells and whistles.
